Wow um... so the last time I wrote anything was back in December? xD So the heads up is that I lost my job at the comic shop, them moved to Australia, and now I've been chillin' out downunder. I haven't been active on here because, well... I like to keep this site semi-professional. That said, I don't know how active I intend to be on DevART, as most of my time is now spent job hunting. Sorry for the short entry! And sorry for being away so long. ;

Scribs' Picks - Holiday Hangover Month Review
Hullo all, and here's hoping that you had a fabulous holiday season. Cheers! Thanksgiving weekend threw off my schedule a bit, but I've got several weeks' picks off the rack for the whatever-I-caught-and-died-from on the first week of December. We're going to be taking a look at Indestructible Hulk #1, and two weeks ago, I'm going to have to give kudos to the return of Witch Doctor, with Mal Practice #1. For last week's comics, I've put my money down on Scarlet Spider. Holidays are in full swing right now, so I've got to keep this short, so here goes!

Scribs' Picks for 10-31: 'Superman: Earth One' #2
This thing was awesome. If you remember from the first run of "Superman: Earth One," this series is a straight-to-hard-back comic. They don't do actual comic print runs of them, though they release them in the same way as the rest of the comics we get in every Wednesday. But it was awesome! Written by Bab5's J. Michael Straczynski, this continuation from the previous volume was just fantastic as its predecessor. Superman is a hard character to write well, but Straczynski pulls it off excellently. He also brings something to the table that I've not seen in a Superman comic in ages: a funny Clark Kent. No, that's not right... Clark is..
Scribs' Picks for 10-24: 'Secret Service' #4
This week's Last Week's best comic was hard to decide on. I had to mull on it over the weekend just because of this, and then Hurricane Sandy happened and my family in New Jersey went crazy, but aaaaanyways…
The reason this was hard to decide on was because, overall, this was a very underwhelming week for comics. There were two titles that really stood out to me, though. First and foremost was Mind MGMT by Matt Kindt, which, as you may have heard me say in the past, is freakin' awesome. This weeks issue was the current story arc's conclusion, and it was beautifully written. So if you've been following the series, you'll enjoy it immensely. H
